Grant proposals are considered at meetings of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Sailing Education is at the core of our mission to improve quality and enjoyment of sailing in and around Lake Champlain. We focus specifically on advancing sailing skills for youth between the ages of 8 and 25. Accordingly, we ask that requests for funding, specify how, when applicable, they align with one or more of our three strategic themes:

Making Sailing Fun:
    Goal: Provide an environment where youth learn and enjoy sailing.

Safety:
    Goal: Emphasize responsible sailing through solid safety practices

Racing: 
    Goal: Provide racing and development opportunities for all sailors
